Previous Demon Slayer Movies
This film is not the first film in the trio Demon Slayer anime series. An early installment called Mugen Train is set just before the events of the anime series. The film follows Tanjiro Kamado’s journey to become the demon slayer as we know him in the anime. When his family is killed by a demon and his sister also becomes a demon, the young boy embarks on a mission to become a demon slayer. He is instructed to board the Mugen Train to capture demons, as he receives reports of demons going missing.
The film grossed over $500 million at the global box office and also holds the record for the highest-grossing anime film and highest-grossing Japanese film of all time, reports The Hollywood Reporter.
