Newly elected BJP MLA Vijendra Gupta on Monday requested Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena to cancel the merger of four properties with AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal’s “Sheesh Mahal” (6, Flagstaff Road).
According to PTI, Vijendra Gupta said that the bungalow was expanded by merging four government properties. He said that he had written to LT Governor VK Saxena to cancel the amalgamation of those properties.
The renovated bungalow Arvind Kejriwal’s official residence was as the Chief Minister of Delhi – from 2015 to October 2024. He vacated it after resigning from the post in September last year.
BJP leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, called the bungalow “Sheesh Mahal” as “Sheesh Mahal” to target Kejriwal on the issues of corruption during the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025.

“I immediately request your intervention to restore these properties to their original independent position and return the 6-boag Staff Road to their previous area of less than 10,000 square meters,” he said.
Gupta also requested LG to expedite the ongoing investigation into these alleged violations, stating that rapid action is important to ensure accountability in government institutions and restore public belief.
For more than two years, the BJP worked hard on Kejriwal during the assembly election campaign, which is difficult in allegations of corruption, including irregularities in the reconstruction of bungalows and grand interiors, high end household items and fixtures.
