Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who is lodged in Tihar jail, will meet two ministers every week and review the progress of work in their departments, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) said.
Kejriwal, who was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21, is currently in judicial custody. The party’s Rajya Sabha member Sandeep Pathak and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had met Kejriwal in Tihar jail on April 15.
Pathak, who is the party’s national general secretary (organisation), shared the chief minister’s action plan to review the functioning of various departments in the coming days.
Pathak said, “From next week, the Chief Minister will call two ministers to jail every week and will review the work of their departments and give them directions.”
Tihar officials confirmed that the Delhi Chief Minister has included ministers Atishi, Kailash Gehlot and Saurabh Bhardwaj in the list of visitors allowed to meet him twice a week.
AAP’s national general secretary (organisation) said Kejriwal asked him to ask party MLAs to go door-to-door in their constituencies and meet people to understand their concerns.

He said, “MLAs should try to solve any problem faced by the people. Kejriwal said that MLAs will have to make up for his absence by working twice as hard as before.”
On April 15, Kejriwal received no interim relief from the Supreme Court, which had sought response from the Enforcement Directorate by April 24 on a plea challenging his arrest in a money-laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam.
In another court hearing, Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court on Monday extended Arvind Kejriwal’s judicial custody till April 23 in a money-laundering case linked to the alleged excise policy scam.
