Wajima (Japan): The death toll from last week’s earthquake off Japan’s west coast rose to 126 on Saturday. At the same time, there is a danger of problems in sending relief material due to aftershocks and collapse of houses and blocking of main roads after the earthquake.
The dead also include a five-year-old child, who suffered burn injuries when boiling water fell on him during Monday’s 7.6 magnitude earthquake. According to Ishikawa Prefecture, the area most affected by the earthquake, the child’s condition suddenly deteriorated and he died on Friday.

Officials warned that if earthquakes continue to occur, already damaged houses and roads could be completely destroyed. This danger has increased further due to the possibility of rain and snowfall on Saturday night and Sunday.
The death toll increased to 126 on Saturday. The highest number of deaths was recorded in Wajima city. 69 people have died in Wajima, 38 in Suzu. More than 500 people have been injured, out of which at least 27 people are seriously injured.

More than 200 people still missing
Due to the earthquake, houses have collapsed and turned into debris on the roads and almost everything has been destroyed under this debris. The roads have become crooked like rubber. According to officials, more than 200 people are still missing. Although the numbers are increasing and decreasing. There is information that 11 people are trapped under two collapsed houses in Anamiju.
