Counselling at Gorakhpur University has begun today, September 18. According to a report by Local18, it is being held for various branches of BTech. This includes first-year Computer Science Engineering (CSE), Information Technology (IT), Electronics and Communication (ECE) and Mechanical Engineering (ME) courses. Students will have to appear for the spot counselling process. According to Professor Umesh Yadav, director of the Institute of Engineering and Technology, the registration was to be done on the official website www.dduguadmission.in.
Admission for the second year is being given through lateral entry. Speaking further, Prof. Yadav said that admission will be based on the merit list of the university’s entrance exam as well as JEE Main and CUET scores. It is mandatory for candidates to complete the online registration to appear for counselling.
As for more details about the admissions, from September 19 and 20, the institute will conduct admissions for new courses that were introduced this year. The courses include MS (Artificial Intelligence), BCA (Machine Learning and Data Science) and BCA (Internet of Things). The admissions are scheduled to take place at the IET campus and more details about it can be checked on the official portal of the university.
The entrance exams for pharmacy courses will be held on September 22. According to more information, it is being conducted for BPharma and DPharma courses. The exam will be held in two shifts at the university campus.
