Jail officials in Chhattisgarh have decided to include the organizers associated with the President’s Self -Service Association (RSS) in libraries for Panchjanya and prisoners.
Jail libraries in Chhattisgarh currently include a collection of books and publications on various subjects. State Director General (Jail) Himanshu Gupta mentioned during an inspection that the jails in the state do not have Panchjanya and organizers magazines.
He told the jail officials that according to a report of adding magazines to all 33 jails of the state, which are five central, 20 district jails and eight sub-districts, according to a report. New Indian Express,
According to the Director General, this decision will help in improving their learning and promoting mental development by giving the prisoners the right guidance. The jail prisoners, citing a senior officer, said that prisoners can rehabilitate themselves in the mainstream society.
According to jail officials, Sanatan will help create awareness among prisoners about Indian culture and patriotism.
Jail officials usually buy newspapers, magazines and books for the library every month. According to officials, a newspaper and a magazine are available on average to every 50 prisoners in the jail library.
Meanwhile, the move has received reactions from both Congress and BJP. The Congress said that the people of the country do not want to read the divisive ideas and disgusting propaganda promoted by the organizers supported by Panchjanya and RSS.
“The RSS is the conceptual patron of the BJP. And in Chhattisgarh, the ruling BJP will misuse public money in the name of arranging two weekly magazines in every jail, ”the report quoted Congress leader Sujil Anand Shukla as saying.
