Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on May 25 said the elections will improve the lives of citizens and protect the Constitution. He said voters rejected “lies, hatred and misinformation” in the first five phases of the Lok Sabha elections and prioritised livelihood issues.
Rahul Gandhi urged people to come out in large numbers and vote for their rights and the future of their families. He and his mother Sonia Gandhi took part in the sixth phase of Lok Sabha elections in the national capital. Sonia Gandhi is the president of the Congress Parliamentary Party.

Rahul Gandhi wrote on Twitter that he and his mother participated in the “celebration of democracy” by casting their votes.
The Congress leader said, “All of you should also come out of your homes in large numbers and vote for your rights and the future of your families.”
He uploaded a photo of himself and Sonia Gandhi, in which he can be seen showing the mark on his finger after voting.

Rahul Gandhi also discussed the promises made in the Congress manifesto.
“In the first five phases of voting, you have rejected lies, hatred and misinformation and prioritised the ground level issues of your lives. Today is the sixth phase of voting and every vote of yours will ensure the start of the recruitment process for 30 lakh vacant government posts and the first job guarantee scheme for the youth.” He posted, “Rs 1 lakh per year.”
‘Your vote will ensure…’
“Your vote will ensure Rs 8,500 should be deposited every month in the accounts of women from poor families. Farmers should be made debt free and they should get proper MSP on their crops. Workers should get wages of Rs 100 per day. 400,” Gandhi further said.

The sixth phase of polling is being held for 58 parliamentary seats in six states and two Union Territories (UTs). Congress leader Jairam Ramesh had already expressed optimism about the All India Alliance’s prospects in the elections.
