Jalore, In Sanatan Dharma, the festival of Sheetala Saptami is celebrated on the seventh day of Krishna Paksha of Chaitra month. A fair is held in Jalore on this day. This is one of the biggest fairs of Rajasthan. In this, lakhs of people come to see the mother. This time, with the unique initiative of the Municipal Council, a colorful program is being organized on the occasion of Shitala Mata fair, in which grand cultural traditional programs will be organized every evening from 6:30 to 9:45.
A grand cultural evening will be organized at Sheetala Mata Fair on Sunday 31 March 2024. In that, famous theater artist Atulya Satya Kaushik will show Ramayana through live theatre. Sati live music concert will be performed by Swarveda fusion rock band. Folk dancer Mansi Singh Pawar will present Varkula dance.
There will be fun for three days
The next day, on Monday, April 1, famous folk singer Geeta Rabari will present bhajans and folk dancer Sahna Hoga Kalbeliya, Fire Tarazu will perform the dance. Virat Kavi Sammelan will be held on Tuesday 2nd April in which Vineet Chauhan, Shambhu Shikhar, Shashikant Yadav, Aman Akshar, Parth Naveen, Sumitra Saral, Mannu Vaishali will present their poems. Municipal Council Jalore is organizing this three-day program for the first time.
1 thousand stalls
People of all religions and castes come to visit the fair. This fair is held on Mandir Road at the end of Jalore. There are shops selling different types of dishes and different types of goods. Their number is around 1000. Attractive swings are also installed for children. People of all religions and castes participate in this fair.
