New Delhi. Due to the high price of petrol and diesel, the demand for CNG vehicles is increasing rapidly. In view of this, many car companies have launched their car models in CNG version. Now the country’s largest car manufacturer is preparing to launch three of its cars in CNG version very soon, out of which two cars will be SUVs. In fact, Maruti Suzuki is planning to launch Brezza and Francox SUVs as well as the new Swift in CNG.
The teaser video of Maruti Brezza CNG and Fronx CNG has been shared on social media. These cars can be seen in a small clip. A CNG sticker can also be seen in it, which confirms that both the cars will come with factory fitted CNG kits and they can be launched soon.
If reports are to be believed, the CNG models of Brezza and Francox can come with automatic transmission. Apart from this, these cars can also come with twin-cylinder CNG technology. This will also keep the boot space of the cars good. Currently, only Tata Motors is using this technology in India.
What is twin-cylinder CNG technology
The most common problem with CNG cars is the lack of boot space. In CNG variant vehicles, there is no space left in the boot due to the tank. To overcome this problem, Tata Motors started using a dual tank setup. This setup is called iCNG technology. It can be seen in the CNG models of Tata Altroz, Tigor, Tiago and Punch. In dual CNG technology, two small tanks have been provided instead of a large fuel tank. Due to this, a lot of boot space is saved.
It is being said that now Maruti Suzuki will also adopt this technology. It is also known that twin cylinder technology can be used in Maruti Swift CNG, Francox CNG and Brezza CNG.
