“Cinnamon has been shown to help improve insulin sensitivity, regulate blood sugar levels, and support better glucose metabolism. This reduces the risk of developing heart related problems. Additionally, cinnamon’s ability to lower blood sugar may help control weight, which is another important factor in reducing cardiovascular risk. Cinnamon also reduces the levels of total cholesterol and low-density lipoprotein, or LDL, or bad cholesterol that contribute to heart disease,” the doctor explained about the benefits of cinnamon in managing cardiovascular risks. “The anti-inflammatory properties of cinnamon may manage cardiovascular risks in PCOS. Chronic inflammation is a hallmark of both PCOS and CVD, contributing to the development of plaque in the arteries and increasing the likelihood of heart-related complications.
