Darbhanga, If you are planting a crop in your field and it is not giving profit, then first of all you should get the soil tested. Soil can change your luck. The District Agriculture Office located in Darbhanga district is ready to help you. Testing centers will be available here where you can get the soil of your fields tested.
Giving detailed information on this, Assistant Research Officer Salman Akhtar says that soil testing is done in three stages. In this, first of all soil samples are collected from the fields. For this, a jack-shaped pit is dug in any plot and soil sample is taken from there. Soil is collected from about two and a half feet inside the side wall. The soil should not be close to the surface and the V-shaped pit should be dug. Soil is dug out from the walls on both sides and kept for sampling.
This is how investigation is done
To test the soil, samples are taken from different places on a plot. From there a 500 gram soil sample is brought to the laboratory and sent to agricultural coordination. Here, after coming to the laboratory, the soil is processed. If there is moisture in that soil then it is first dried for some time and then it is ground. Then after that it goes away by moving 2.2 mm. After that the soil is ready for testing.
Assay on 12 parameters
The soil that comes for testing is tested on 12 parameters. After testing the pH, EC, organic matter, carbon, phosphorus, potash, borne, sulphur, phosphorus, zinc, copper, iron and manganese of the soil, its result is revealed. Then its soil health card is generated through software. It contains all the information about which nutrients are present in the soil of your farm and how much is required. On the basis of that the quality of soil is improved. Under this, fertilizer is also used in it.
