The Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education, CGBSE, will conduct the supplementary or second main examination for class 12 from tomorrow, July 23. As per the official schedule, the class 12 supplementary exams will be conducted till August 12.
Whereas the Chhattisgarh Board Class 10 supplementary exam will be conducted from July 24 to August 8, 2024.
This exam is being conducted for those candidates who want to improve their marks obtained in the regular exam. Also, candidates who failed or were absent in the first main exam can apply for the second main exam, the board had said.
Notably, before the exam, candidates must keep in mind certain points prescribed by the board. These are as follows:
- According to the board, the second main exam result will be prepared on the basis of updated marks in the subject/subjects improved by the candidate and the marks obtained in the first main exam.
- In case a candidate is unable to improve marks in a subject/subjects in the second main examination, only the marks of the candidate in the first main examination will be considered and full mark sheet will not be issued to him/her.
- In the second main examination, candidates will be allowed to appear only in those subjects for which they had applied in the first main examination. Candidates will not be able to change the subject in the second main examination under any circumstances.
- If a candidate has taken any additional subject in the first main examination, he/she can appear in the same subject in the second main examination also.
- In case there is a practical exam in the second main exam, the marks obtained in the first main exam in the practical exam will be considered valid for the second main exam. However, if a candidate does not appear in the practical exam in the first main exam, such candidate will be eligible to appear in the practical and project exam in the second main exam.
- If the candidate is eligible for bonus marks in the first main examination, he will be eligible for bonus marks in the second main examination also.
- In the mark sheet of the second main examination, special marks will be marked in those subjects in which the candidate’s marks have increased.
- The second main examination will have three question paper sets for major subjects – A, B and C, and one set for minor subjects.

It is noteworthy that the results of Chhattisgarh Class 10th and 12th regular examinations were declared on May 9. A total of 3,40,220 candidates appeared in the class 10th examination, out of which 2,57,072 passed. A total of 2,08,789 students passed the Chhattisgarh Class 12th examination in 2024. The overall pass percentage of class 12 was 50.74% and that of class 10 was 75.61%.
Meanwhile, the CGBSE Supply Admit Card 2024 for Class 10 and 12 was released on the official website on July 17.
Candidates who will appear for the exam can download the admit card using their registration number and date of birth.

- On the home page, click on the link CGBSE Supply Admit Card 2024 for Class 10, 12.
- Enter the login details and click on submit.
- CGBSE Supply Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
- Check the Admit Card and download the page.
- Keep a hard copy of it for further need.
