CBSE Components Exam 2024: Central Board of Secondary Education has released the tentative datesheet for class 10th and 12th CBSE Components Exam 2024 on cbse.gov.in. Students who have applied for Supplementary/Compartment Exam 2024 through LOC of their school can check and download the exam datesheet/timetable by visiting the official website of CBSE at cbse.gov.in.
It is important to note that CBSE has asked schools to submit the names and other details of class 10th and 12th students (LOC) who were placed in the compartment category when the board results were declared on May 12, 2024, and also the names and other details of students who are dissatisfied with their results and are interested in applying for compartment/supplementary exams. The last date for submission of LOC is June 15.
As per the tentative datesheet released, CBSE Class 12 supplementary exam will be held on July 15, 2024. The exam will be conducted from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm depending on the subject.
Similarly, the CBSE Class 10 supplementary exam will begin on July 15, 2024, and end on July 22, 2024. As per the datesheet, most of the papers are scheduled between 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, while the Computer Applications and Information Technology paper will be held on July 22 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm.
CBSE further said that the final date letter will be issued after the last date for submission of LOC.
The release said, “This tentative date sheet is published to help students select the subjects for which they wish to appear in the supplementary examination 2024 to improve the performance. The final date sheet will be issued after the last date for submission of LOC.”

CBSE Supplementary Exam 2024: Application Fee
As per the notification, schools (in India) have to pay the fees. For Compartment Exam 2024 without late fee, Rs 300 per subject has to be paid on or before 17 June 2024. Students in Nepal have to pay 1,000 per subject, while foreign students have to deposit Rs 2000 per subject before 17th June 2024.
Schools can also submit the application fee along with late fee till July 19, 2024. Rs 2,000 per subject.
The supply exam will be conducted as per the syllabus prescribed for the board exam, and it is available on the official website cbseacademic.nic.in.
Schools should note that the fees will be applicable as per the schedule, i.e. the date on which the data is finalised is considered for fee calculation. For example, “If student details are entered on 15.06.2024 and data finalisation is done on 15.06.2024 and fees are deposited by 17.06.2024, no late fees will be applicable. If fees are not deposited by 17.06.2024, late fees will be applicable.”
This academic year, CBSE Class 10 exams were conducted from February 15 to March 13, held in 26 countries globally. As per CBSE data, over 39 lakh students had registered for the Class 10 board exams. The overall pass percentage for Class 10 was recorded at 93.60%. The number of students placed in the compartment category (full subjects) was recorded at 132,337 (5.91%). Similarly, the board declared the Class 12 results on May 12, 2024, with 87.33% students passing the exam, which is 5.38% less than 2023.
