CAT 2024: Exam date announced, know when the exam will be held Indian Institute of Management (IIM)-Calcutta has released the notification for online registration. Common Entrance Examination (CAT) 2024. As per the notification, candidates seeking admission to various postgraduate and fellow/doctoral programmes of the prestigious IIM can apply on the official website of IIM CAT at iimcat.ac.in. The registration process for CAT 2024 will begin on August 1 at 10 am. IIM-Calcutta will end the CAT 2024 registration window on September 13 at 3 pm.
Candidates are required to declare and maintain a valid and unique email account and a mobile phone number during the selection process.
The exam results will be declared in the 2nd week of January 2025.

CAT 2024: Eligibility Criteria
As per the notification, candidates must have Bachelor Degree With minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates Disability (PwD) CategoriesThe minimum requirement is 45%.
Candidates who are in the final year of their bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification, as well as candidates who have completed their degree requirements and are awaiting results, are also eligible to apply for CAT 2024. However, if they are selected, they will have to submit a certificate confirming that they have completed all the requirements for obtaining a bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification as on the date of issue of the certificate.
CAT 2024: Registration Fee
All the candidates have to pay the registration fee ₹ 2,500 (except for SC, ST, and PWD category candidates), who will have to pay The application fee is Rs 1,250.
Candidates must keep in mind that they will have to pay the fee. Registration Fee Only once, no matter how many institutes they are applying to. Once paid, the fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.
CAT 2024: Admit Card and Result
As per the notification, IIM Calcutta will release the admit card between November 5 and 24. After the exam in November, the CAT 2024 result is expected to be released in the second week of January 2025.
CAT 2024: Exam Pattern
CAT 2024 will be a Computer Based Test (CBT) will be held in three sessions on November 24. It will be held at exam centres spread across around 170 exam cities.
CAT 2024: Exam Cities
Candidates will be given the option to choose any five exam cities in order of preference. The list of cities may be subject to change at the discretion of the CAT authorities.
Last year, the exam calendar was released on August 2 and the exam was held on November 26, for which a total of 3.28 lakh candidates had registered, out of which around 2.88 lakh candidates appeared for the exam.
