Prime Video has revealed the cast for its upcoming British original romantic-comedy. Bridgerton star Simon Ashley and After actor Fiennes Tiffin star. It is based on Prime Video’s Australian original film Five Blind Dates, written by Shoung Hu and Nathan Ramos-Park. Here’s all you need to know about the upcoming film:

The upcoming rom-com film is being directed by Prarthana Mohan and written by Nikita Lalwani, known for The Outlaws. Ben Pugh and Erica Steinberg are producers for Picture This, with John Horsfield and Kari Hatfield executive producing.

According to Deadline, the film’s official synopsis reads, “Alone and without a man on the horizon, Pia (Ashley) runs a failing photography studio in London with her best friend Jay (Featherston).
The synopsis continues, “As her sister Sonal (Chaddha) prepares to get married and her mother Lakshmi (V) strongly urges the independent Piya to become a partner, a spiritual guru at Sonal’s engagement party makes a prophecy. That Piya will find the love of her life. She will go on the next five dates.
It further states, “As her family intervenes, setting her up on a series of increasingly desperate blind dates, Pia begins a hilarious but heartfelt search for real love.”
