Brahmaputra Board, Guwahati, Government of India, a statutory board under the Ministry of Water Power, is accepting applications for recruitment in various posts.
In the notification of March 19, 2025, the board informed about the recruitment details and eligibility between other details.
1. Deputy Chief Engineer (Non -Minister) – 3 posts
Location: Agartala, Guwahati, Siliguri
Salary scale: Level -13 (Rs. 1,23,100- 2,15,900)
Eligibility: Central Government or State Government or Center Sector Administration or State Electricity Boards or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory Organizations or Officers of Universities or Universities or Recognized Research Institutes: (A) (i) Regularly holding the status of parents in the cadre or department of parents; Or (ii) with a five-year regular service, a post superintending engineer was presented after appointment on a parent cadre or regular basis in Pay Matrix in Pay Matrix in Post Superintending Engineer with regular service; And (B) desirable- Five years experience in Water Resources Project.

2. Superintendent Engineer (Non-Minister): 6 posts
Location: Aizwal, Dimapur, Gangtok, Imphal, Shillong, Silchar
Salary scale: Level -12 (Rs 78,800- 2, 09,200)
Eligibility: Central Government or State Government or Center Sector Administration or State Electricity Boards or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory Organizations or Officers of Universities or Universities or Recognized Research Institutes: (A) (i) Regularly holding the status of parents in the cadre or department of parents; Or (ii) with a five-year regular service in post executive engineer in level-11 (Rs.67,700-2,08,700/-) in the pay matrix in its original cadre or department; And (B) desirable- Five years experience in Water Resources Project.
3. Executive Engineer (Civil) (Non-Minister)

Salary scale: Level -11 (Rs. 67,700-2, 08,700).
Eligibility: Central Government or State Government or Center Sector Administration or State Electricity Boards or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory Organizations or Officers of Universities or Universities or Recognized Research Institutes: (A) (i) Regularly holding the status of parents in the cadre or department of parents; Or (ii) Parent cadre or department with a five-year regular service to the post of Assistant Executive Engineer (Civil) in Level-10 (Rs.56,100- 1,77,500/-) in Parent Cadre or Department; And (B) desirable- Five years experience in Water Resources Project.
4. Executive Engineer (Mechanical) (Non -Minister) – 1 post

Salary scale: Level -11 (Rs 67,700-2, 08,700)

5. Under Secretary (E) (Ministerial cadre) – 1post

Eligibility: Central Government or State Government or Center Sector Administration or State Electricity Boards or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory Organizations or Officers of Universities or Universities or Recognized Research Institutes: (A) (i) Regularly holding the status of parents in the cadre or department of parents; Or (ii) Level-7 (Rs.44,900-1,42,400/-) as a section officer’s post in pay matrix or parent cadre or department with regular service of seven years.
6. Senior Accounts Officer (Non -Minister) – 1 post
Location: Guwahati
Salary scale: Level -11 (Rs 67,700-2, 08,700)
Eligibility: Central Government or State Government or Center Sector Administration or State Electricity Boards or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory Organizations or Officers of Universities or Universities or Recognized Research Institutes: (A) (i) Regularly holding the status of parents in the cadre or department of parents; Or (ii) holding the post of Accounts Officer in the level of level 10 (Rs.56,100–1,77,500/-) in pay matrix with a five-year regular service in parent cadre or department; And (B) Three years experience in dealing with financial matters, central government’s financial rules and regulations is preferably the experience for accounts in the Central Public Works Department of compilation of annual accounts, internal audit and knowledge.
7. Accounts Officer (Non -Minister) – 1 post
Location: Guwahati
Salary scale: Level -10 (Rs 56,100-1, 77,500)
Eligibility: Central Government or State Government or Center Sector Administration or State Electricity Boards or Public Sector Undertakings or Statutory Organizations or Officers of Universities or Universities or Recognized Research Institutes: (A) (i) Regularly holding the status of parents in the cadre or department of parents; Or (ii) in Level-7 (Rs.44,900-1,42,400/-), Parent cadre or department with a regular service of three years in Per Matrix as a section officer (accounts) in Per Matrix; And (B) Three years experience in dealing with financial matters, central government’s financial rules and regulations is preferably the experience for accounts in the Central Public Works Department of compilation of annual accounts, internal audit and knowledge.
8. Section Officer (Secretariat) (Ministerial) -3 posts
Location: Guwahati
Salary scale: Level-7 (Rs. 44,900- 1, 42,400)
Eligibility: Central Government or State Government or Union Area Administration or State Electricity Board or Autonomous Body or Statutory Body or Public Sector Undertakings: (A) (i) to hold an analogous positions on a regular basis in the mother -father’s cadre or department; Or (ii) Level-6 with a five-year regular service in the grade of assistant or superintendent (35,400-1,12,400/-in payment matrix); And (B) 3 years experience of working in various establishment jobs and knowledge of central government rules and regulations.
9: Private Secretary (Minister) – 4 posts
Location: Guwahati
Salary scale: Level-7 (Rs. 44,900- 1, 42,400)
Eligibility: Central Government or State Government or Union Area Administration or Autonomous Body or Public Sector or Public Sector Undertakings from Officers: (i) holding a position on regular basis in the original cadre or department; Or (ii) In the grade of stenographer grade with regular service of five years-in I Level-6 (Rs.35,400-1,12,400/-) in pay matrix.
10: Divisional Accountant (Non -Ministry) (Finance and Account Cadre) – 3 Post
Location: Isol, Imphal, Siliguri.
Salary scale: Level-7 (Rs. 44,900- 1, 42,400)
Eligibility: Central Government or State Governments or Center Area Administration or State Electricity Board or Autonomous Bodies or Officer or Public Sector Undertakings: (i) Catching conforming positions on regular basis in parents’ cadre or department of parents; Or (ii) with regular service of eleven years in the grade of Junior Accountant in Level -5 (Rs.29,200-92,300) in (ii) pay matrix.
11. Assistant (Ministerial) – 12 posts
Location: Agartala, Aizwal, Dimapur, Guwahati, Imphal, Itanagar, New Delhi, North Guwahati, Shillong, Sikkim, Silchar, Siliguri
Salary scale: Level -6 (Rs 35,400-1,12,400)
Eligibility: Central Government or State Governments or Center Area Administration or State Electricity Board or Autonomous Body or Public Sector Under Public Sector Undertakings: (A) (i) Catching conforming positions on regular basis in parents’ cadre or department; Or (ii) with regular service of ten years in grade of upper division clerk in level -4 (Rs.25,500-81,100) in salary matrix; And there is a 3 -year experience of working in various establishment jobs and working in the knowledge of the Central Government’s rules and regulations.
12. Additional Division Clerk (Minister) – 19 posts
Bachachara: AARAartala, Ampire, IU Daln, I am going to Aarartala.
Salary scale: Level -4 (Rs.25,500-81,100)
Eligibility: Officers working under the Central Government or State Government or Center area administration or state electricity boards or public sector undertakings or legal organizations or universities or recognized research institutes:- (i) to hold a regular conformity in parents’ cadre or department; Or (ii) with regular service of eight years to the post of Lower Division Clerk in Level-2 (Rs. 19,900-63,200/-) in pay matrix.
According to the notification, the selected officers will be appointed on the basis of deputation initially for a period of 3 (three) years, which can be carried forward in the interest of board functions and on the basis of the officer’s performance.
