Sexual harassment accused politician Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh may refrain from contesting Lok Sabha elections 2024 from Kaiserganj constituency. According to a report in India Today, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) may give ticket to the tainted politician’s son Karan Bhushan Singh from this seat for the elections.
Brij Bhushan was met with massive protest by top wrestlers including Sakshi Malik and demanded his resignation from the WFI. Despite strong opposition, Brij Bhushan remained a member of the party. Sources told India Today that the top BJP leadership spoke to Brij Bhushan over phone regarding the Lok Sabha candidate from Kaiserganj seat.
