BITS Design School’s B Des (Honors) applications will be closed on 31 January

Mumbai, 24 January 2025 BITS Design School (Bitsdes) The application window for 2025 admission in its 4-year residential Bachelor of Design (Honors) program will shut down on 31 January 2025. This will be for the second group of the admission program. Bitsdes were established under the aegis of BITS Pilani – it was established in 1964 and is one of the first private sector universities that were recognized as “reputed institutes” by the Government of India in 2020.

Bitsdes have 180 students for their B Des (Honors) program, who provides five routes- physical product design, digital product design (UX/UI), Design Research and Insights, Experience Design and Visual Design.

Admission to the program is based on the overall evaluation starting with NID DAT Prelims, UCEED, or Bits Design Aptitude Test (BITSDAT) marks. Students who are planning to apply to NID DAT initial or UCEED score will also have to submit their BitsDES application by the time limit of 31 January. They can do this using registration number or roll number for NID DAT initial/UCEED. The application portal for uploading their score will be reopened between 5 to 8 April.

Students also have the option to take BITSDAT from 31 March to 5 April 2025. BITSDAT is a 60 -minute examination with multiple choice questions on general qualification and design concepts.

The list of shortlisted candidates based on the test score will be announced on April 14, 2025. The selected candidates will have to upload their portfolio, and the online interviews will be determined between May 2 to May 12, 2025. The application process is completely online. Website
