Date:

After the arrival of WhatsApp, many tasks are now done in a jiffy, which used to take a lot of time earlier. Earlier one had to use Bluetooth or resort to email to send photos and videos. But after the arrival of WhatsApp, now life has become very easy, and sending photos, videos, contacts or any file through the app has become very easy. However, whenever there is poor internet connectivity, this work cannot be done. Internet is necessary to run WhatsApp. But now very soon this too is going to get easier.

It is learned that WhatsApp is working on a new feature which will make it easier for users to share files even without an internet connection. Recent leaks have revealed that the messaging app is working on a way to allow people to share photos, videos, music and documents offline.

The leaked screenshot from the latest WhatsApp beta for Android shows what permissions will be required for this feature to work. An important option in this will be to find nearby phones which also support this offline file-sharing features.

How will this feature work?
This is a standard system permission on Android that lets apps scan for nearby devices via Bluetooth for local file-sharing. However, if users wish, they will have the option to turn off this access.

Apart from searching for nearby devices, WhatsApp will also need permission to access system files and photo gallery on your phone. The app will also need location permission to check if other devices are close enough to connect.

Despite these permissions, WhatsApp will hide phone numbers and encrypt shared files, ensuring that the sharing process is safe.
