Delhi Airport: Till now you must have heard a lot about the use of fake passports and fake visas to fulfill the desire of going abroad. But now a new document has come in the market, which has eliminated the need for passport and visa. Now many people are using this new document instead of passport and visa to go to their dream city illegally.
According to a senior official associated with airport security, a case of use of this new document has come to light from Indira Gandhi International Airport on 19 May 2024. In this case, four passengers were trying to go to Birmingham illegally with the help of this document. CISF has detained all four passengers and handed them over to the airport police. Along with these four passengers, an airport staff working in AISATS ground handling agency has also been arrested.
A similar case has come up a few months ago
A case of trying to go abroad with the help of this new document has already come to light. In this case, two passengers named Savinder Pal Singh and Gagandeep Singh left for Mexico from IGI Airport with the help of this new document. During investigation in Istanbul, this document was found to be fake, after which both the passengers were caught by the Immigration Bureau of Istanbul. After which, both were deported to IGI Airport.
This special document was given for 40 lakh rupees
In this case, IGI Airport had arrested Savinder Pal Singh and Gagandeep Singh as well as a travel agent. This travel agent was identified as Dharminder Singh, resident of Fatehgarh Sahib, Punjab. During interrogation, accused Dharminder Singh had revealed that he had provided this special document to Savinder Pal Singh and Gagandeep Singh in exchange of Rs 40 lakh. Some of his other colleagues also helped in this work.
Document to be used in place of passport-visa
According to a senior airport security official, the name of this document used like passport and visa is Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC). Continuous Discharge Certificate (CDC) is also known as Seaman’s Book. Like a passport, seaman’s book is used in ships during sea voyages. At the same time, Seaman Book holders can also use it to obtain immigration clearance from Indian airports. After the last two cases have come to light, it is clear that Continuous Discharge Certificate or Seaman’s Book is also being used to send people abroad illegally.
