Known for sharing glimpses of their personal lives with fans, Bollywood stars and other public figures posted heartfelt pictures, messages and moments from their Bhai Dooj celebrations.
Coming right after Diwali, this festival holds a special place in Indian culture as sisters pray for the well-being of their brothers and exchange gifts.

Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut shared pictures from Bhai Dooj celebrations with her brothers on X.
In the caption, she wrote, “Bhai Dooj is a festival where a sister vows to protect her brothers pride, dignity and over all well being. You wish everyone a very happy brotherhood.”
Veteran actress Hema Malini also shared a glimpse of her Bhai Dooj celebrations in Chennai.
“Today on Bhai Dooj, I am celebrating here in Chennai with my dearest brother Kannan (Cheela to me), my constant companion for many years and an important part of all my ballet productions. With my loving brother and sister-in-law Prabha,” he wrote on X.
In a post on Instagram, Gujarat Titans shared Shubman Gill’s sister Shahneel’s message for her brother for the festival.
Sharing a picture of the brother-sister duo, the IPL team said, “Special Bhaidooj message for our special one.”
Shahneel was quoted as saying, “From being my little companion to being my inspiration – no matter how far you go, you are always here.”
Cricketer Suresh Raina also shared a picture with his sister on X and wrote, “Dear sister, Happy Bhai Dooj! Today and always, I am grateful for our unbreakable bond. You are my rock, partner in crime and best friend. I cherish our laughter, adventures, thank you for being my guide, confidant and inspiration. I promise that I will always be with you, protecting and taking care of you. Bhaidooj”
Actress Pooja Hegde has taken leave from work to celebrate Bhai Dooj with her brother Dr Rishabh Hegde. For them, Bhai Dooj means “appreciating and celebrating” their brother.
“Rishabh and I are very close; We are better friends than brothers and sisters. He has always been my protector,” he said Hindustan Times,
She further added, “Although I show my appreciation to them through small gestures throughout the year, on this day I make sure to give them all the love and affection to make them feel special.”

Avinash told Hindustan Times That Swati will perform this ritual which is more common in Bihar, where the sister feeds millet to the brother and then she curses the brother, followed by pricking his tongue with a fork.
“Then they say a phrase in our mother tongue which means ‘If you eat millet you will become as strong as the grain. And if you do not give the gift, you will become poor’,” Avinash recalled.
On this Swati said, “That gift has never come for me till date.” I’m glad he’s getting richer, but I hope that with all that wealth, someday a gift will come that will make up for all these years.”
Avinash and sister Swati meet every year on Bhai Dooj. Swati said, “I do a little aarti and also sing a song for him.”
