As per the guidelines issued by the state government, it is mandatory to install complaint boxes in all government schools.

After the heinous crime that took place in the Badlapur school of Maharashtra state, the state government has issued guidelines to ensure the safety of girl students. According to the report, several changes will be made in the institutions to educate the girl students about the danger signs and avail safety. All the details in the report are as follows. According to the guidelines issued by the state government, all the state schools will have to install a complaint box. Special classes will be given to the girl students, where they will be taught about good touch and bad touch. The report further states that every school in the state of Maharashtra will have to follow the guidelines.

State school education minister Deepak Kesarkar ordered the formation of two committees, the Vishakha Committee and the Sakhi Savitri Committee, which will have to ensure the safety of students. According to more information, Maharashtra had ordered the formation of the committees eight months ago, but many schools did not comply.

Therefore, after the recent incident, the Education Minister has warned that if the order is not followed then the concerned person will be responsible. Strict action will be taken against the block officials. The officials have been instructed to issue notices to the schools not following the orders.

According to Minister Kesarkar, it has now been made mandatory for schools to install CCTV cameras on campus. The report states that the government will take the help of various NGOs to implement this change. Minister Kesarkar said that the government is taking this incident “very seriously”.

Residents of Badlapur blocked the Badlapur railway station in protest against the failure to keep children safe in schools. Railway traffic was reportedly halted for 6 hours. According to reports, trains on the Badlapur-Kalyan railway line faced a jam. The accused, who is a sweeper in the school, has been arrested by the police for allegedly attacking two students on the school premises. An investigation team has been formed to investigate the case and it is still underway.
