New Delhi. Australia Deputy Prime Minister Richard Marls met Mahant Swami Maharaj in BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Temple, Cranburn, Melbourne. This important gift further strengthened the cultural and spiritual relations between Australia and India. At the same time, BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha accepted the important role of promoting goodwill, service and devotion throughout the nation.
Addressing the gathering, the Deputy Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to receive the blessings of Mahant Swami Maharaj and highlighted the growing Hindu community in Australia. Regarding the new temple being built in Melbourne, he said that “we welcome the vision of the Melbourne temple and are eager to it, which will be a gathering place for Hindus in Melbourne, but more than that it will be a center of relations between Australia and India.”
