The front engine options include a 1-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid engine producing 100 bhp and 148 Nm of torque and a 1.2-litre dualjet petrol engine producing 90 bhp and 113 Nm of torque. . The first engine has the option of 5-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearbox, while the second engine has the option of 5-speed manual and 5-speed AMT gearbox.

Maruti Front is based on the new design language of the company. This car has a big bumper and front grill, along with a faux skid plate in gray color. LED headlights are available in the car which have been placed on the bumper only. Slim LED DRLs have been installed above both headlight units which also act as turn indicators. This car looks quite muscular from the side because of the black wheel arches. Talking about its rear profile, LED connected tail lights are available at the rear. Apart from this, faux skid plate is also available on the rear bumper. Higher variants of the car get 16 inch machine cut alloy wheels.

In the Indian market, the Bronx competes directly with compact SUVs like Tata Punch, Kia Sonet, Hyundai Venue, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger and Nissan Magnite.
