Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 16 avoided a question related to Aam Aadmi Party MP Swati Maliwal, who has accused the CM’s close aide Bibhav Kumar of ‘attack’.
During Kejriwal’s joint press conference with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Lucknow, a journalist asked a question about the episode. Bibhav Kumar was reportedly seen with Arvind Kejriwal at the Lucknow airport on Wednesday night.

Instead of answering the question, Kejriwal handed the microphone to Akhilesh Yadav, who dismissed it saying, “There are more important things.” AAP leader Sanjay Singh, sitting next to Kejriwal, said he would answer the question. Singh mentioned crimes against women. Protest by wrestlers against BJP MP Prajwal Revanna and BJP MP Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh in BJP ruled Manipur.

Bibhav Kumar was removed from the post of private secretary to Arvind Kejriwal by the Vigilance Directorate in April this year. However, he remains his aide and takes care of the CM’s daily schedule.
Singh had said on Tuesday that Arvind Kejriwal would take strict action against Vibhav Kumar and met Swati Maliwal on Wednesday.
“Aam Aadmi Party is a family. The party has already made its stand clear on this issue. I want BJP to answer on all these issues, including Swati Maliwal being beaten by the police. They should not do politics on this. ” Singh said in Lucknow on Thursday.
Maliwal went to the Civil Lines police station on Monday and alleged that a member of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal staff “assaulted” her at the chief minister’s official residence, police officials said.
