Apple is discontinuing these 3 iPhones for these markets, iPhone 14 is also included in it

New Delhi. Tech giant Apple has banned the sale of three iPhone models including iPhone 14 in many countries of Europe. The handsets that have been banned include iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone SE (third generation). The company has also removed these devices from its online store for many European countries.

Let us tell you that Apple has not only removed it from the online store, but now the customers in these areas will not be able to buy it from the retail stores also. Actually, Apple has banned those handsets in which Lightning connector is being used. Apple has taken this decision due to the regulations set by the European Union.

This step was taken after the implementation of the new law
In the year 2022, the EU passed this law, which said that all electronic devices and smartphones will now have to have USB Type C port. These rules of the European Union will be applicable in 27 states. Actually, the EU wants to reduce electronic waste in the world through this step and Apple’s Lightning charging connector does not fit into this rule. USB-C port is not provided in iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone SE (third generation). Therefore its sale has been banned.

Sales stopped in these countries:
The countries where Apple has banned the sale of these handsets include Australia, Finland, Belgium, Denmark, Germany, France, Italy, Ireland, Netherlands, Sweden and many other countries. Although Switzerland is not a part of the EU, there is a ban on the sale of these three iPhone handsets here. Along with this, customers of Northern Ireland also cannot buy these handsets.

Meanwhile, media reports have started coming in regarding iPhone 17 Air, in which speculations are being made regarding its price and production. It is being said about this model that it will be Apple’s thinnest iPhone till date. The company can launch it in September 2025. It is also being said that Apple is preparing to launch foldable iPhone and iPad.
