Faridabad: Due to continuous rain in Faridabad, mosquitoes are breeding in the rainwater collected at various places. To prevent water-borne diseases caused by this, the newly appointed CMO of Faridabad, Dr. Ashok Kumar, appealed to the people. He said that people should avoid using polythene and those who use polythene and throw it in the drains should not do so. Because doing so clogs the drains. Water accumulates at various places. Due to this, mosquitoes breed in the collected water and the risk of diseases caused by the breeding of those mosquitoes increases.

On the other hand, CMO Dr. Ashok Kumar said that many teams have been formed by the malaria department to deal with mosquitoes. Apart from this, wherever there is waterlogging, mosquitoes are being prevented from breeding by putting black oil and medicines there. Due to this, he has appealed to the people of Faridabad not to let water accumulate on the roof of their houses or in coolers and keep cleaning it. Taking precautions also eliminates many diseases.
In rainy season, malaria mosquito infestation often increases in places where water is stagnant. CMO Dr Ashok Kumar has made a special appeal to the people in such a situation.
