‘Another Revdi…’: Arvind Kejriwal starts campaign before Delhi elections, says ‘Workers will tell how only AAP can do…’ peppermint

Date:

Ahead of the Delhi Assembly elections to be held in February next year, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has launched a new campaign named ‘Rewari Paar Charcha’ to highlight the freebies and schemes of the party.

The campaign focuses on AAP’s welfare initiatives

Launching the campaign on Friday, Kejriwal stressed that AAP workers will connect with voters at the grassroots level, including district and booth level officials, to promote the welfare initiatives of the party.

“Our workers will hold 65,000 meetings across Delhi and explain what these free facilities are and how only the Aam Aadmi Party can provide them,” he said.

The initiative is designed to convey AAP’s achievements directly to the people, especially its popular ‘freebies’ or ‘Rewari’, which have been the cornerstone of the party’s governance.

Kejriwal highlights AAP’s welfare schemes

Kejriwal reiterated the range of services provided by the AAP government to the people of Delhi. These include free electricity, water, health care, education and bus travel for women, as well as free pilgrimage for the elderly. He informed that one of the upcoming initiatives is the monthly Assistance of Rs 1,000 for women in Delhi.

“We are soon launching another ‘Rewari’ for women,” Kejriwal said. He said that these initiatives are aimed at improving the lives of the residents of Delhi.

Kejriwal criticizes BJP’s stand on ‘Rewari’

During his speech, Kejriwal launched a scathing attack on the BJP and accused them of opposing the welfare schemes given by the AAP government. “BJP, which is in power in 20 states, does not provide any of these freebies,” he said. This is because they do not intend to,” he said, claiming that AAP is the only party that understands how to provide such services.

He also pointed out that despite Delhi being the national capital, it functions as half a state, and the central government holds significant power over local matters. “BJP has done nothing for Delhi in the last 10 years. All they have done is stop our development projects,” Kejriwal said, questioning what the BJP has achieved for the city during its tenure.

AAP is targeting voters at the grassroots level

As part of its ‘Rewari Paar Charcha’ campaign, AAP volunteers will distribute pamphlets and interact directly with voters and educate them about the benefits of the party’s free welfare schemes. The aim of this outreach is to garner support and highlight how AAP has provided services that the BJP has failed to implement in the states it rules.

The initiative is another step in Kejriwal’s strategy to strengthen AAP’s presence ahead of the crucial Delhi Assembly elections, in which the party is expected to retain its hold on the national capital.
