What happened so far

On Tuesday, the Gauhati High Court, while hearing its anticipatory bail plea, granted interim bail to Ashish and asked him to appear before the investigating officer within 10 days. His counsels had argued that his customer did not reveal anything on the show and the allegations in the FIR were made only against co-appointed persons.

The FIR was registered by the Guwahati police on 10 February on the complaint of a person, which was under various sections of the indecency of the Indian Nai Sanhia (BNS), the Information Technology Act, the Cinematographs Act and the Women (Prohibition) Act.

On 18 February, the apex court provided interim security to Ranveer on his comments on a YouTube show, while calling it “porn” and said that he had a “dirty mind”, which spoke to the society.
