Ajay Devgan and Rohit Shetty interact with fans at the special screening of Singham. Their latest collaboration, Singham Again, is gearing up for a Diwali release.
Singham, released in 2011, marked a unique collaboration for actor Ajay Devgan and director Rohit Shetty. The success of the film opened the way for both of them to the police world, and now after a decade, the pair is back with Singham Again. Ahead of the Diwali release, both Ajay and Rohit attended a special screening of Singham in Mumbai, where they talked about their experience of making the film and how the now-iconic line of dialogue ‘Ata Majhi Saatkali’ was created on the sets . During a conversation when Rohit was asked about the dialogue and whether he knew how iconic it would become in the years after its release, he said: “Actually, we just wrote those characters – Singham and the villain. Jaykant Shikre (played by Prakash Raj), in Maharashtrian. This became an iconic line! He utters that line only once in the film, otherwise he is called a villain. We never thought…for us it was just a line! Then again a language that everyone speaks now! “We never thought about it that way.”
Ajay also reiterated the same and said, “At that moment it was just one line! There are a lot of lines and at that time no one knows what comes after that. While doing this it was just a line and then it became a cult line.

In a press note, the makers said about the screening of Singham, “The decision to bring Singham back to theaters follows the huge demand from fans eager to experience the massively entertaining Singham again on the big screen ahead of the release of Singham Again. Taken from.”
Singham Again also stars Kareena Kapoor, while Arjun Kapoor plays the villain. Meanwhile, the film also brings Ranveer Singh and Akshay Kumar into the police world. Additionally, it introduces two new characters to the universe, played by Deepika Padukone and Tiger Shroff. Singham Again will release in theaters on November 1 during the Diwali weekend.
