Sainik School Admission: The application process for admission to class 6th and 9th in Sainik School has started. Interested and eligible students or their parents can fill the AISSEE 2025 form by January 13 by visiting the official website aissee.nta.nic.in. There are 33 Sainik Schools in India, but 38 new schools Approval was given in March this year. There will be an All India Level Entrance Examination for admission to Classes 6 and 9, the date of which will be announced by the school later.

Sainik Schools are known for providing quality education to the children of Indian Armed Forces personnel. Most of the seats are reserved for people from military background. But, citizen children can also take admission here. For this they will have to pass the entrance examination. To get admission in class 9th of Sainik School, a candidate must have passed 8th. Admission in Class 6 of new Sainik Schools will also be done through this examination.

Sainik School 2024 Admission: Age Limit

The age limit for admission in Sainik Schools has also been fixed. For admission to class 6, the age of the child should be between 10 to 12 years as on 31 March 2025. Enrollment of girls will be taken in class 6 only. Girls will be given admission in class 9 only on the basis of available seats. For admission in this category, the age of the candidates should be between 13 to 15 years as on 31 March 2025.

Sainik School 2024 Admission: How to Apply?

Step 1: Candidates have to fill the registration form available on the official website of AISSEE, exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE.

Step 2: Look for ‘AISSEE 2025 Application Form’ there and proceed with the application form

Step 3: Enter the required details including your name, date of birth, home address, contact details and a valid email address

Step 4: Select the class for which you want to take admission, Class 6 or Class 9.

Step 5: Scan and upload the required documents (including photograph and signature) to complete the application form

Step 6: Now, pay the applicable fee through the given online payment options and confirm your application.

Step 7: Check the form thoroughly before applying as there will be no chance for any correction later.

Sainik School 2024 Admission: Application Fee

The application fee for general category candidates will be Rs 800, while ST and SC category candidates will have to pay Rs 650.

For admission to Sainik Schools, there will be a written examination in 190 cities across the country, in which there will be multiple choice questions. For admission to class 6, there will be a paper of 150 minutes, which will be of 300 marks. This paper will have questions based on language, mathematics, intelligence and general knowledge. Similarly, there will be a 180-minute examination for admission to class 9. In this examination, questions related to subjects like Mathematics, Intelligence, English, General Knowledge and Social Science will be asked. Total marks for the exam will be 400. Students must obtain at least 25 percent marks in each section and 40 percent marks in aggregate to pass the exam.
