Actually, Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is working on a special plan for celebrities. Apart from film celebrity, big industrialists and politicians have also been included in this plan.

Actually, Navi Mumbai Airport is working on a plan to create a separate terminal for film stars, industrialists and big politicians. This terminal will be used only and only in the A-List of the airport operator. Under the current plan, the commercial terminal of the first Navi Mumbai Airport will be inaugurated, followed by the expansion of the next phase, under which a new terminal for celebrities will be constructed.

According to the senior officer, the terminal for celebrities will be constructed under the Phase-Three, whose construction work is likely to start in 2026. If everything goes well, the construction of celebrity terminal will be completed by 2030. Currently, in the airport’s A list, senior officers, governors, Chief Ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, Defense Officer, Film-Manoranjan and celebrities associated with sports have been included in this list.

VVIP terminal is not in Mumbai airport
Currently, there is no separate VVIP terminal at the current Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. Navi Mumbai International Airport Operation is near Navi Mumbai International Airport Limited (NMIAL), which is a joint venture of Adani Airport Holding Limited (AAHL) and Maharashtra’s City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). It is expected that commercial operations may occur after May 15 from the ninth Mumbai International Airport.

What is NMIA’s special things and expansion plans
NMI Airport is a Greenfield Airport, which is aimed at making the traffic pressure of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) in Mumbai. In the first phase, the terminal capacity will be 20 million passengers per year (PPA). Initially there are plans to handle 10-12 million passengers, including 9 million domestic and 3 million international passengers. In addition, the operation of Terminal 2 with a capacity of 30 million passengers per year will start by the end of 2028.

Special taxi-way and separate ATC tower plan
According to the Senior Officer, the ‘Code E’ taxi-way will be prepared to connect Runway 08L/26R of NMI Airport to VVIP, Defense and General Aviation (GA) apron. Code E Taxi-Way will be suitable for wing from 52 to 65 meters and large plans with 24 meter height, so that plans like Boeing 747 and Airbus A380 will be able to easily land and fly on it.
