The Department of Computer Engineering, Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI), is set to conduct a three-week Short Term Training Programme (STTP) on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in a hybrid format.
Dates
Registration for the 50-hour program began on Wednesday, June 19. The course will begin on July 1 and end by July 19.

Prospective candidates interested in participating in the program must meet specific eligibility criteria, which include having a diploma, bachelor’s, master’s or PhD degree with a background in mathematics. Eligible candidates can apply by visiting the official website.
Seats
“A total of 130 seats are available for the course, out of which 80 students will be admitted for offline classes on first come first serve basis and 50 students will be admitted online,” the JMI notice said.
Course Details
The course consists of 20 hours of theoretical classes and 30 hours of practical sessions. Experts from various reputed universities across the world including JMI, other central/foreign universities, IITs, IIITs, industry professionals and others will act as resource persons for the course.

The registration fee for JMI students is 4,500 and for non-JMI students it is Additionally, students can avail benefits up to Rs 6,500. A discount of Rs 500 will be given on applying for the virtual course. A fee will be charged from industry participants The fee to participate in the programme will be $10,000, while foreign and NRI students will have to pay $150.
“The online registration link along with additional information will be available on the official website of the varsity at ww.jmi.ac.in/sttp-aiml2024 from June 19, 2024,” the notice said.
