A superstar like Shahrukh does not need to fear social media creators, Vijay Subramaniam says: A technical wave cannot overcome him

Date:

Jannat Zubair is 23 years old. The former child star has worked to a large extent in fiction TVs or films in the last 7 years, mainly in music videos and reality TVs. Nevertheless, he is a social media superstar, with more than 50 million followers, compared to any of the three mines and many A-list female stars. The emergence of such social media general Z stars has surprised many people whether they will soon replace the film superstar on top of the pop culture pyramid of India.

Vijay Subramaniam of collective artists Network talks about India’s producer economy.

Vijay Subramanian disagrees. The founder of the collective artist network, which manages many top creators in the country. It is said that this social media wave cannot overcome superstardam. In a chat with Hindustan Times, Vijay talks about the old media vs new, the creators need to be reinstated, and why the superstar does not need to worry.

Can digital materials pose a threat to cinema?

Ask him whether the world of cinema and film is in danger of a new style of storytelling led by the creators, and Vijay agrees. “I am a big preacher that the old media, as it was, is probably on its last leg. A few more years later, there will be a complete transition to the media, which is mainly digitally native.

Vijay says that for the longest time, stardom in the country was limited to film actors and cricketers. Digital creators are now going into those water as well. “There were two wide pillars of iconic and stardom in the country. It used to be films and cricket. And I think it is now three, being three, the third is the third digital material. You have to be ready for it.”

Superstar cannot be replaced

However, Vijay argues that more creators who become popular do not mean that they will replace or press the existing superstar. “I think it’s a myth,” he says about the notion, adding, “superstardam is superstardam. I don’t think they are interchangeable or overlapping. I don’t think Shah Rukh (Khan) has ever competed with Sachin (Tendulkar).

Vijay says that social media stars are only expanding stardom, making it accessible to more people now. “I think you are a social media star today because you have a slightly more loyal fan base, but superstar superstar. His superstarrdam has not been built for decades or months or years. It is not timely. It is not timely. So, I don’t think it is going to be a cannibal. They have built their stars for more than 30 years. Is.”

Digital creators need to be strengthened

Creators need to be remembered, Vijay says, needs to strengthen and stabilize, some Bollywood superstars are for age. “I think the problem with the manufacturer economy that was there and what we want to solve is today, the manufacturers are very short. They go for a period of 1 or 2 years,” they say, the creators need to ask themselves: “How do you re -present themselves? How do you interrupt?”

Vijay says that future is about to create materials and disrupt the current way of consumption. He explains, “I think micro drama is going to come. Fast fiction is going to be a reality, and the A-LED material is going to be more and more prevalent.”
