A new solid propellant-powered medium-range hypersonic missile has been test-fired: North Korea

Date:

seoul, North Korea has tested a new medium-range hypersonic missile powered by solid propellant. The country’s government media gave this information on Wednesday. At the same time, North Korea’s weapons display continues amidst the deepening nuclear standoff with neighboring countries and America.

Following the reported success of the test, North Korean leader Kim Jong Un announced that his country had achieved the capability to create a solid-fuel, nuclear-capable system for all range missiles. Kim is trying to make such weapons that can scare America and its rivals in Asia.

North Korea’s state media gave this information at a time when South Korean and Japanese armies had detected North Korea firing missiles from near its capital towards the East Sea a day earlier.

North Korean state media said Kim supervised the test and described the Hwasong-16B missile as an important part of his nuclear war deterrent. Referring to America, South Korea and Japan, he pledged to develop more such weapons to counter his ‘enemies’.

Kim said North Korea has now developed nuclear-capable, solid-fuel systems for “all tactical, operational and strategic missiles of various ranges,” according to the Korean Central News Agency.
