Now another information has come to light that WhatsApp is going to bring the ‘Like’ reaction feature for status. WABetaInfo has told about this that at present this feature has been introduced for beta testers, which is being tested on Android Beta 2.24.17.21 version. Right now this feature is for testers, so it is expected that this feature will be introduced for everyone in the next few weeks.
According to the report, the ‘Like’ reaction feature for status was being worked on in April and now it has been released for testing. With the help of this feature, users will be able to express their reaction on someone’s status, for which they will need a single tap on the screen.

WB has also shared a screenshot of the upcoming feature, which will give an idea of how the upcoming Like Reaction feature will work. It can be seen that some testers can see a heart icon on the status screen. Once someone taps on this icon, the uploader gets a notification that the user has liked their status update.

The shared reactions will appear in the viewer’s sheet. This can ensure that users are aware of the contacts who have liked their status.

Users will be able to see both the people who viewed and liked the status update at one place. According to the report, users can get the option to disable like notifications from the notification settings. Most importantly, WABetaInfo also told that these reactions will be private and will be end-to-end encrypted.
