New Delhi: When Prime Minister Narendra Modi was nominated for the Grammy Award, along with all Indians, famous tabla player Bikram Ghosh also expressed his happiness and excitement. For Bikram Ghosh, this achievement is an indication that India’s status and importance has increased across the world. In the 66th Grammy Awards, PM Modi has been nominated for the Best Global Music category for the song ‘Abundance in Milat’.

The song ‘Abundance in Milat’ has been composed by Indian-origin American musicians Falguni and Gaurav Shah, which they have co-written with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Excerpts from the Prime Minister’s statement have also been added to the song. Bikram Ghosh said in a conversation with ‘Zoom’ that the nomination in the Grammy means that India is a global power today and our country is very important for the whole world.

Bikram Ghosh further said that PM Modi’s name appearing in the nomination list is an indication that now no one can ignore our country. He said, ‘Recording Academy is looking towards India. This is a good time to work from India. To create music that is worthy of a Grammy Award and is relevant at the international level. Abundance in Millets competes with ‘Pashto’, which features banjo player Bela Fleck, cellist Edgar Meyer, renowned maestro Zakir Hussain and Mumbai-based flutist Rakesh Chaurasia from the album ‘As We Speak’.
