Filmmaker Rekash Omprakash Mehra’s Rang de Basanti was a big success and still loves many people. The filmmaker once contacted Randeep Hooda for the role of Bhagat Singh in the film. Asked if he had ever lost in films due to pride, Randeep revealed that he rejected Range de Basanti, saying, “Woh Agar’s main subject toh Alag Meen Mein Ajita” (I had done that film, I would have been in a separate league). I was offered the role of Bhagat Singh in the film. I auditioned, and he liked it. Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra used to come to me, sometimes drunk drunk, and he used to ask me to ‘Kar Kar Le Picture Carley (please do the film). ,

Randeep admitted that he wanted to do the film, but at that time, he knew only two people, his girlfriend and director Ram Gopal Varma in the industry. His girlfriend showed no interest and advised him not to take a small role.

He said, “RGV told me, ‘I am thinking about casting you in the lead role in D, and you want to stand behind Aamir in the poster?” My Jat Akad Nikla Ayai (my Jat ego came), and I said, ‘I will not be behind Aamir.’ This happened, and I also left Rock for similar reasons.

It was also selected as India’s official entry for the Golden Globe Awards and the Academy Awards in the same category.

Randeep Hooda’s recent work

Randeep is currently seen in the action thriller Jat. Directed by Gopichand Malineni, the film also features Sunny Dole and Regina Cassandra, as well as supporting roles with Siami Kher, Jagapati Babu, Ramya Krishnan and Vineet Kumar Singh. Randeep’s depiction of a villain character has been praised.
