Can coffee affect the posture and balance of old adults? What does new study say here

The study observed very little effects of coffee on currency and equilibrium control in older adults. Here is everything that you need to know.

It is believed that drinking coffee can affect postural performance and balance in older adults. However, a new study otherwise proves. The study published in practical Gerontology examined the effects of coffee in control and posture in older adults, and the results are stunning. Studies Conclusions:

The study was conducted with an average age of 68 years on 22 healthy old adults (12 men and 10 women). Participants participated in four sessions of drinking coffee – consuming caffeinated coffee, drinking defineted coffee, taking a placebo drink, or consuming fluids at all. The participants were then asked to do balance and posture tests under certain circumstances, such as standing with their eyes, or standing on the soft surfaces. The center of his body pressure was measured. Physical functions related to the chair stand, arm curls, a time -run test and a step test were also recorded.

In the period of study, researchers noticed that coffee had little impact on currency and balance control in older adults. Participants who consumed caffeinated coffee had similar demonstrations as those who had definened coffee, placebo, or no fluid.

Caffeine Coffee vs. Decaffinated Coffee:

A minor change was observed – it was observed that people drinking caffeinated coffee had a greater frequency of small balance adjustment than others. Researchers concluded in their paper, “This suggests that the balance of coffee has a limited effect on performance or physical work, but the balance used to maintain complication and straight stance can affect both. Overall, a strong cup of coffee does not significantly affect the measures of balance and functional performance to healthy old adults. ,
