The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Exam (JKBopee) has started the registration process for the Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test (JKCET) 2025. According to the official notice, the last date for submission of forms for admission to BE and BTech courses of affiliated institutions is March 19, 2025.
Candidates can submit the JKCET 2025 application form by visiting the official website on jkbopee.gov.in. They need to pay an application fee of Rs 1000.
JKCET 2025: Eligibility Criteria
The JKCET exam is only for permanent residents of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. During the application process, candidates will have to submit an dominance certificate along with their application. For Ladakh residents, an ST certificate from the appropriate authority is also acceptable as proof of domicile.
To be eligible for 2025 JKCET, candidates must successfully complete their class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognized board or university. A minimum total score of 45% with physics, chemistry and mathematics as compulsory subjects is mandatory. However, open merit category candidates, including defense personnel, paramilitary forces and children of Jammu -Kashmir police personnel, are eligible for 5% discount in need of minimum marks, along with exceptional sports achievements and SC/ST or other socially disadvantaged categories.
JKCET 2025: How to apply?
step 1: JKCET 2025 Log on to the official application portal – jkbopee.gov.in
step 2: Click on CET Engineering Tab on Homepage
step 3: Fill the application form with the required details
step 4: Attach soft copies of required documents
Step 5: Pay application fee using online methods like debit/credit card, net banking or others
Step 6: Submit the form and save the acknowledgment for future use or reference.
JKCET 2025: Exam Pattern
The exam will be conducted in pen and paper based mode for a period of three hours. This will include several options questions (MCQs), including 180 marks. One will be honored for every correct answer while 0.25 marks will be cut for wrong effort. The entrance examination will be conducted only in centers specified by the board in Jammu and Kashmir.
