Researchers evaluated 90,000 adults. They were designed to wear a wrist accelerometer to study their level of physical activity.

It is noteworthy that findings have shown that a 35 -minute moderate exercise per week or only 5 minutes of exercise in older people can help reduce the risk of dementia by 41%. Lead writer Amal Vanagatunga said, “Our findings suggest that an increase in physical activity, even five minutes less per day, may reduce dementia risk in older adults. This connects the growing body of evidence that some exercise is better than nothing, especially in relation to an age -related disorder that affects the brain that currently has no cure. ,

Researchers followed participants for many years and found that the risk of dementia was reduced with increased exercise. This is necessary, many benefits of exercise for brain health means.

According to their findings, people who exercised for 36–70 minutes per week had a 60% less risk, while those who were engaged in 71–140 minutes per week saw a decrease of 63%. The highest advantage was seen in individuals who exercised for more than 140 minutes per week, reducing their risk by 69%.
