Domestic EV maker Ather Energy on Saturday launched its 450 Apex e-scooter to mark the company’s 10th anniversary. Ather Energy co-founder Tarun Mehta said in a post on X (formerly Twitter), the 450 Apex ‘promises an unbeatable riding experience with city-savvy features.’

its price is 1.89 Lakh (ex-showroom) and bookings open from today. Meanwhile, deliveries will begin in March.

According to Mehta, the 450 Apex comes with a feature called ‘Magic Twist’, describing it as ‘the next level of regenerative braking, always on unlike regular 2W brakes’.

“It (Magic Twist) provides 40% more braking power than any other 2W regen in India,” he wrote.

Another addition, he added, is the Warp+ mode which will take the 2-wheeler from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.9 seconds. Additionally, the 450 Apex features a transparent panel over a painted orange chassis, making the EV India’s ‘only scooter with a transparent panel’.

It has a PMS electric motor which generates peak torque of 26 Nm. At the same time, the top speed is 100 km per hour.

To make the 450 Apex stand out, the manufacturer has given it a new Indigo Blue color scheme with bright organza highlights; The color scheme extends to the ‘Aether’ branding, chassis and alloy wheels.
