That being said, despite the absolute boom in the nail industry in recent years, the classic French manicure has held an honorable place of being distinctive and unique. So what exactly are nail crowns?
To put it very simply, they are ‘gems’ for your tips. The rule of thumb is quite simple. You follow the skin-toned base color, but instead of going with the pristine white tip lining you switch it up with some fancier jewels. After all, we are in the age of rhinestones!
A less intense take on this would also be to go with a line of glitter glitter in silver, gold or whatever color suits your mood. The point is, to give your nails the illusion of once again wearing a ‘crown’ worth picking up.
If you are a maximalist in terms of the skin you choose to apply your nails, you can also deviate from the nude-pink base, replacing it with a solid color, and then a thin line of ornament. Then there’s something for everyone!
