Rajiv Khandelwal is all set to entertain the audience with his upcoming adventure series, The Mysteries of the Shilders. On Monday, Disney+ Hotstar released an interesting trailer for the series, which has fans calling it “Desi Indiana Jones”.

The trailer starts with Rajeev Khandelwal learning about the Shiledars (soldiers who guarded Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s treasury). He then sets out on a mission with his team including Sai Tamhankar to uncover the hidden treasure. Along the way, he battles opponents who lay claim to the treasure and discovers more about Maratha history.
Comparisons to Indiana Jones and another Hollywood film, National Treasure began on the Internet. One comment read, “As soon as the word ‘treasure’ came up, I felt like Indiana Jones.” Another YouTube user wrote, “Inspired by Nicolas Cage’s National Treasure.” Another commented, “Is this Desi Indiana Jones?” Others commented, “Looks like Indiana Jones + Nicolas Cage’s National Treasure.”
Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, The Secrets of the Slayers also stars Sai Tamhankar, Gaurav Amlani and Ashish Vidh in lead roles. This series is based on the book Pratipashchandra which will stream on OTT from January 31.
