Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Wednesday, January 1, said that when the people of Maharashtra want a solution to any problem, they think of his party but forget it on the election day. In a long post on social media
“There have been so many changes in almost every aspect of human life that life seemed like a different era 25 years ago. During this 25 year period our party Maharashtra Navnirman Sena has seen many ups and downs. And all this has taught us a lot,” Raj Thackeray said.
He said many things remain the same as “Marathi people feel insecure. The youth do not get work but at the same time, job opportunities are available to those coming from outside the state. The unemployed do not have any caste, but they are made to feel that caste and they instigate fights between castes. The lives of all workers, from farmers to the poor, are being ruined by inflation.”
The MNS chief said, “People remember Maharashtra Navnirman Sena in every problem, but at the time of voting they forget the party.” He said the party should accept this and move forward. Raj Thackeray also claimed that “persecution” against Marathi speakers in the state began just weeks after the election results.
In the Maharashtra elections held on November 20, MNS contested 125 out of 288 assembly seats, but did not get any seat. Raj Thackeray’s son Amit Thackeray also lost from Mahim in Mumbai.
