Cleaning bike with toothpaste: You must be getting your bike polished every week or 10 days. The cost of getting polishing done at a service center ranges from Rs 200 to Rs 500. However, you might not know that you can make your bike shine by spending just Rs 10.
This method is not only cheaper but you will not need to go to the service center. With the help of a little trick, you can give your bike a polished shine at home. Let us know how.
Scratches will disappear with toothpaste worth Rs 10
To shine the bike, you will just need white toothpaste worth Rs 10. The mild abrasive properties present in toothpaste help in removing dirt, light scratches and oxidation from the surface of the bike. For this you will need white toothpaste, a soft cloth or microfiber cloth and water.
First of all, you have to clean the surface of the bike with a wet cloth, so that the dust and dirt accumulated on it is removed. After this, apply white toothpaste on lightly scratched or dirty looking areas. After applying toothpaste, rub it slowly in circular motion with the help of a wet microfiber cloth. Through this process, scratches and dirt gradually start getting removed and the bike starts looking shiny.
After rubbing, take a clean and wet cloth and wipe off the toothpaste completely. After this, wipe the bike with a dry cloth and make it shine. With this trick your bike will look as shiny as the polish of a service center.
Keep these things in mind
The thing to note is that toothpaste should be used only on light scratches and on metal or plastic surfaces. Avoid rubbing it vigorously on painted surfaces, as it may damage the paint. Also, avoid using toothpaste containing whitening agents, as these can spoil the shine of the paint.
