New Delhi. Sooraj Barjatya is one of the famous filmmakers of Bollywood. He is known for family films and has made his mark as a brilliant director. Recently Nana Patekar shared his experience of working with Sooraj Barjatya. The veteran actor told that once Sooraj Barjatya had lifted his shoes on the film set, although Nana Patekar had forbidden him to do so, but Sooraj said that this is his job.
In an interview given to The Lallantop, Nana Patekar recalled an incident during the shooting of the film ‘Pratighat’. The film was directed by N Chandra and Sooraj Barjatya was the assistant director. Nana Patekar told, ‘One day Suraj brought shoes for me. I said don’t do that, man. I can take my own shoes. He folded his hands and said no, sir. I said, Suraj, you are the owner of this empire (Rajshree Productions), don’t do this. He replied that I am an assistant, this is my job.

Nana Patekar surprised to meet after years
Nana Patekar told that after many years he met Sooraj Barjatya again and was surprised to see that he was still the same. He said, ‘After many years we met at some function. As soon as he saw me coming, he folded his hands. I was surprised that there was no change at all. There is the same simplicity in him even today. He doesn’t pretend to be nice, he really is like that. So whenever I meet him, I feel good.
Sooraj Barjatya received National Award
Let us tell you that Sooraj Barjatya is known for directing films like ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun’, ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’. His last directed film ‘Unchai’ was released in the year 2022. Amitabh Bachchan, Neena Gupta, Boman Irani, Anupam Kher worked in it. He received the National Award for Best Director for this film. Recently Sooraj Barjatya had told that he is planning to make his next film with Salman Khan. However, no official announcement has been made in this regard yet.
