Bareilly: Student life is that stage in which if someone is determined to do something then he does not step back from hard work and effort. Three students of Invertis University, Bareilly have done something similar. These students of B.Tech Mechanical Department of Inverness University have made such an electric bicycle named ‘Garun One’ in just 15 days, which everyone is surprised to hear about.
Fourth year B.Tech students Aman Jha, Muzaffar Khan and Abhishek Singh spoke exclusively to Local 18 about their journey. He tells that he had to show some new invention in a practical in the seventh semester of B.Tech. After much deliberation, all three decided to make an electrical bicycle.
Journey of 22 to 25 kilometers
According to the trio, it cost them Rs 14,000 to make ‘Garun Van’. Now he has to do more modifications in this cycle. Once fully charged, this cycle travels a distance of 22 to 25 kilometers. It gets fully charged within two-three hours. It took only 15 days for the three students to make this bicycle.
Success achieved through teamwork
Student Aman, who led the project, said that his classmates Muzaffar Khan and Abhay Singh helped him in making the bicycle. The guide of his team was Abhishek Pandey sir. Dean of his department, Professor RK Shukla sir, motivated him to make a bicycle. Head of the department, Dr. Ashish Kumar Singh and all the teachers have helped in making ‘Garun Van’.
Students are engaged in more inventions
Head of the department, Dr. Ashish Singh says that the students took one semester’s time to make this bicycle. The entire cycle was made by the students with their own hard work and we did not take any help from outside in making it. It is completely designed and manufactured in-house. Now we will make more modifications in it. Our students are engaged in more such inventions.
