Ananya Panday reveals that this is why she used to get ‘hurt’ after watching her father Chunky Panday’s films

Ananya Pandey used to avoid watching her father Chunky Pandey’s films since a young age. In a new interview with We Are Young, Ananya revealed that she was ‘traumatised’ by watching many of his films in her childhood, and for the same reason, she hasn’t watched much of his work. During the interview, Ananya confessed, “I didn’t watch much because I was so scared that you were going to die in the film. I remember when I was young and watched D Company and suddenly you get shot and in the film you die. Died.” Movie. I felt like it was really happening, even though you were sitting right next to me. I was in shock, so I didn’t watch a lot of your movies because I thought you were going to die in all of them.”

On his contribution as an actor

Ananya further said, “When I wanted to become an actor, I thought the same way as you because the kind of films I saw were largely commercial. I still love them! That’s all I could see. I didn’t know there was anything else to do. It’s probably in my DNA. Even in my first three films, I didn’t know whether I could contribute something to the character or not. It was only when I looked into the depths, [Batra] Really forced me to think like an actor. I enjoyed that process very much. Moving forward, I want to do a mix of both.
