Krushna Abhishek and Govinda appeared together on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show after a seven-year feud.

It’s a full circle moment for Krishna Abhishek and Govinda. A few years ago, Krishna had refused to be a part of an episode of The Kapil Sharma Show, where his uncle Govinda and aunt Sunita Ahuja were expected to come as guests, leading to a feud that lasted years. Now, they have settled on Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show. (Also read: Krishna Abhishek mends relations with uncle Govinda after 7 years: ‘Finally we forgot our differences and moved forward’,

Govinda-Krushna patch up

The ‘Next Episode’ promo of the latest episode of the show features Govinda, Chunky Pandey and Shakti Kapoor as guests. After recently getting injured by gunshot, Govinda is looking completely fit and fine and is entering the stage like a ‘hero’. He teases Shakti Kapoor about his affairs and then starts dancing with Krushna Abhishek, who is dressed like the character from ‘Ali Baba and 40 Thieves’. The uncle and nephew embrace each other and Krishna’s sister Aarti, as an audience member, gets emotional watching the moment. Krishna says, ‘We have met after a long time. I won’t let you go now.”

Govinda even jokingly calls Krushna a ‘gadha (donkey).’

what was the fight

A public dispute between Krishna Abhishek and his uncle Govinda started in 2016. The controversy started when Krishna made a joke on his show, which Govinda found offensive. The tension escalated after a tweet by Krishna’s wife Kashmera Shah, which was considered to be aimed at Govinda, further escalated the tension. Over the years, both parties expressed grievances through the media, deepening the rift. In 2024, a reconciliation took place when Govinda attended the wedding of his niece Aarti Singh, ending their seven-year estrangement.

Even Kashmira recently met Govinda in the hospital after he sustained a gunshot wound at home. “I was about to leave for a show in Kolkata. It was around 5 in the morning. And at that time it fell and went. (And it just fell and went off). I was shocked by what happened and when I looked down, I saw a fountain of blood. Then I made a video and talked to the doctor and got admitted,” he told reporters waiting outside his house.

When asked why a fun-loving actor like him had a revolver, he said, “When you have fame, you have to be cautious because there are people who love you and then there are people who hate you. Are jealous.”
